Yesterday was my first 30 minute run. To make this short and sweet: I paced myself well, kept breathing, talked myself through the hills and totally survived!
My runs are really boring now. They're all hard for me, but I always finish. I've gotten so much better at pacing myself which makes it all a tad easier. My only real complaint from yesterday was the 95% humidity. I was soaked when I got home. I was a bit digusted with myself. Normally I head straight to the shower, but I had to throw dinner in the crockpot yesterday before it got too late so the shower had to wait 30 minutes. I was still wet when I finished with the crockpot and headed to the bathroom. So gross!
Thanks d.a.r. for the cami sports bra suggestion from Target on my last post. Normally I'm afraid cami-style bras wouldn't offer enough support, but I think I'll give one a try. Surely it can't be worse than the generic (and cheap) Hanes sportsbras I've been wearing. Perhaps I'll even get one of each style and see which I like best. I spent a good 30 minutes today perusing their running gear. I can't wait to place the order!
Random happening of the day: a CPS worker knocking on our door to ask if we had any concerns about our neighbors. Hmm. We didn't have any concerns, but that's only because we don't know them or interact with them at all. I have seen the child look kinda dirty on occasion and squeal obnoxiously from their backyard - nothing to call CPS about.
