Much like on Mother's Day, I am keeping my gushy post on this blog. Nothing on FB or Instagram. If everyone else is doing it, I tend to go the opposite direction.
My dad is pretty much the greatest. He runs marathons y'all. He's the reason I can and want to run 5Ks. He's always proud of even the smallest accomplishment. He is as excited for me running a mile and Brian running 13. He's a great father-in-law (and father-figure) to Brian which makes my cynical heart happy. He can fix anything, I swear. He even built a freakin' garage by himself. He baits my hook when we go fishing and even gets the fish off for me, too. I blame all of my brain quirks on him. He let's us pick on him and only rarely gets annoyed by it. He always drives on roadtrips and is possibly the only person who doesn't make me a nervous passenger. I swear he has an answer for everything and if he doesn't, he'll look it up or figure it out. Basically, I can't imagine my life without him and I am who I am (the best parts) because of him. Love you, Dad!
