Freak Out #1

I need to order my wedding invitations by Friday. I still haven't seen the final proofs of all the inserts. I haven't heard back from the priest about changing the time. I haven't gotten a final list of invitees from my in-laws. I haven't gone through my list of invitees or gotten with Brian to figure out what friends need to be invited.

This is the first thing in the whole wedding planning process that I've let get down to the wire. I don't think it's a desperate situation yet, but there isn't that much time left to work with. I'm not sure how long it will take for them to arrive after the order is placed and then they need to be addressed...oh my!

Actually, Mom and I decided earlier that we are going to do all the addressing on labels. I will do the labels here between now and when Brian and I go home at the end of May so I can leave them with Mom back home. It would be great if they were already in by then so I could help her assemble them, but if not, at least she won't have to address each one by hand.

I keep telling myself that this will work out fine, but it's so hard when you have to rely on other people to get things done and they're not doing it in a timely manner.

I'm sure this won't be the only freak out between now and the wedding. I hope none are more major than this.

I need to make a wedding-related phone call and start going over the guest list.

Tomorrow: Day 11 of the C25K!

Ohh wee. Phone time. If it helps "I expect to hear back from you about this by ___ time on ____ day" works really well. Service people the world over go "oh, bleep" when they hear that.

And with in laws "hi. I am finalizing invitations and wanted to let you know that anyone who isn't on my list by this time tomorrow will not be getting an invite so please call me to confirm all the names" also works super well. Good lucK!

The guest list was the most stressful part for me. I was so tired of asking for addresses! Bleh!

You have inspired me to try the C25K program by the way. When I get better, the running will start!
