Does anyone else hate making phone calls?
It's been a phobia of sorts for me as long as I can remember. I don't mind calling my family or friends. I also don't mind calling 1-800 numbers. I do mind calling strangers. I have to call the music lady for the wedding and I keep putting it off.
I'm not sure what it is about it that frightens me so much, but I always have moderate anxiety surrounding these phone calls.
Please tell me I'm not the only one with this issue.
In other news: summer in Louisiana is officially horribly oppressive. The humidity never breaks. Never. The temperature is totally bearable. I'm used to triple-digit heat in the summer. The heat + the humidity is what kills me. Have you ever tried running in 90+ degree heat with 80+% humidity? It takes every bit of energy out of you. I practically collapse into the house, chug some water and then fall into a lovely cool shower. I kinda hope fall comes quickly.
Alright, guess I should make myself make a phone call or two.

Thank God I'm not the only one with this phobia!!! I HATE making phone calls to people I don't know and at this job I have to do it ALL the time.

I have this issue too. I found out in my psych class it's one of the most common fears. I can't order pizza. Thank goodness for internet ordering!
That being said, as someone who owns their own business I LOVE it when people call me about things. Perhaps more so because I have the same fear.
