Not Me Thursday

I did not neglect to change the registration sticker in my car before the first of June.

I did not realize this when I was already in the car on my way off-post.

I did not turn around and drive home so I wouldn't get in major trouble at the gate on my way back on-post.

I did not get a call from my mother on my way back to the house to change the registration sticker telling me that after meeting with the priest that is doing my wedding ceremony we have to change our ceremony time.

I did not think she was joking.

I did not start crying sitting in my car in my carport when I realized she wasn't joking.

I did not order $1,200 of invitations (with my mom's money) that arrived 2 days ago at my parents' house.

I did not cry harder when my mom suggested we mark out the time with a pen and rewrite it on the invitations.

I did not say some choice words about some stupid people that I shall not name for fear of royally pissing some people off.

I did not then drive 40 minutes round trip to a Wal-Mart that carried the labels I needed for the invitations that I do not have to reorder.

I sure as heck did not have my first major wedding dilemma. I definitely do not hope it's the last!
