You know that running I was talking about a measly 2 days ago? Yeah, this is my putting that off. Genius, right? I'll get to it, I'm just having a lazy morning.
So I ended up going to that FRG meeting. Besides putting some faces to names, getting paid for my baby-sitting services, and secretly laughing at a few people, it was a giant waste of time. A good chunk of the meeting was spent learning "ball etiquette". That's all well and good if we were even going to the ball! As a matter of fact, I won't even be in the state that weekend. I wasn't in the mood to learn about the receiving line. Ugh. I think the whole thing might have actually put an even worse taste in my mouth about balls. (I just re-read that sentence without reading the whole paragraph and, well, let's just say that it did not convey the same meaning I originally intended. Try reading it again - get a good chuckle!)
The rest of the meeting was basically just looking at the calendar of activities for the soldiers through the end of April. That part was kind of helpful since at some point B and I need to get back to our hometown together to meet with the priest. That was basically the meeting in a nutshell. Oh, and it was HOT in the meeting room. Good grief it was hot. There was a noticable drop in temperature when we exited into the hallway. Anyway, I was glad to be out of there, but was also kind of glad I went.
You know those Ham and Cheese Foldover Sandwiches I was making yesterday? I'd give them 3 stars. Those 3 stars are mainly for the concept, not the taste. They were totally edible and B even ate 2, but they were not spectacular. I like the concept of a foldover sandwich tho. I think next time I am going to buy refrigerated pizza dough (or make my fav dough in the bread machine depending on how much effort I was to put forth) and make a pizza version. Would that make it a calzone? In the sandwiches I made last night the dough was made using Bisquick and I found the Bisquick taste to be overpowering. I love Bisquick for pancakes or biscuits every now and then, but it has a very distinct taste that I didn't want to be tasting in my dinner last night. I really wanted to taste the Boar's Head deli ham and yummy Swiss cheese, not the darn Bisquick. So, good recipe in theory, but not that great in final product.
Oh, one more thing then I'll leave you alone. We are under a "Boil Water Advisory" until 4:30 today. We came home from the FRG meeting to find a festive pink paper in our door handle. Apparently they did some repair on some pipe and although they don't think it's a big deal (my words, not theirs) they need to advise us to boil our water before using it. I immediately sent B to the Shoppette for some bottled water. We drink a ridiculous amount of water and I was NOT
boiling water over and over for us to drink. I guess it's just one of those minor annoyances in life. 4:30 will be here soon enough I suppose.

P.S. Thank you to my few readers that leave me wonderful comments. It makes my heart smile. :)

Sorry about the ball taste. Ha! I laughed out loud!
Ball Etiquette is very important. It makes everyone happier... Sorry, I couldn't help it! My mind went right to the wrong place when you first said ball etiquette.
Boiling water is no fun. I'm a big fan of bottled water myself. We get 2.5 gal jugs from the store to fill bottles because the tap tastes slightly funny.
