I had been hearing about The Office since it first came out. I generally don't start watching brand new shows from the very beginning. I'll start hearing about how great they are, but I hate coming in after the first few episodes so I just keep not watching. House was the one exception where I started watching random reruns before finally watching it from the very beginning. How did I watch it from the beginning? Blockbuster rentals mailed to my house. I watched every episode of House through Blockbuster. I also got the Heroes seasons except season 1 through Blockbuster. Heroes is another show I kept hearing about, especially when it was brand new, but simply never turned on. My dad started watching season 1 that he'd borrowed from a friend and got me hooked. Every Monday at 8 I'm watching Heroes now. All of this just to say how Brian and I are officially The Office lovers. It had seemed kind of like a cult-following show and is now in season 4 or 5 so I had pretty much given up on ever catching up. I randomly added season 1 to my Blockbuster list and actually didn't really like it. Somehow season 2 also started finding its way to my house and I gave it another chance. I was pleasantly surprised - it just kept getting better! I just finished watching the season 2 finale and now I can't wait for disc 1 of season 3 which should get here in the next couple days. Another good thing about watching TV seasons on DVD like this is the lack of waiting time. I don't have to wait months to know what happens with Jim and Pam. I just have to wait a couple days. Love it! So, in addition to the million other shows I watch every week, I'm hell-bent on getting caught up on The Office eventually so I can add it to my weekly line up. It might take me a bit since there are so many seasons, but I will persevere!
Perhaps I watch too much TV?
Today was the first Sunday of Lent and my happy butt was in church bright and early this morning like I promised. I am so happy I am going regularly again. I can't even explain it. Mass is always like another home. It's always there, always the same, & always somewhere I belong. It gives me an hour a week to focus solely on my relationship with God. I make it a point to be thankful for everything and everyone in my life and to ask for help with things/people I've been struggling with. I feel good when I walk out of there on Sunday mornings. I tend to have very productive days afterward too - an added bonus.
My parents and brother are coming to visit! They will get here on Saturday so this week is dedicated to getting the house in tip-top shape. There is clutter to be dealt with, fluff from Tiny's toys to be picked up, things to be hung on walls, boxes to dispose of, carpets to be vacuumed, sheets to be changed and washed, counters to be scrubbed, & dishes to be washed. Brian and I tend to live in a constant state of slight disarray, but that isn't how I like visitors to see it. It'll look super cozy by the time Saturday afternoon rolls around. I'm still not sure what I'll be doing with them for the couple days they'll be here. I have a bunch of possibilities, but we won't be able to do everything. I need to check the weather and start narrowing the options down so we aren't totally overwhelmed. I can't wait to see them! The last time my parents were here was to move me in the house and my brother has never been. Alot has changed since then and I just miss them!
Ok, early to bed tonight since Brian has to get up so early. Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

Man, you are all about different layouts! Everytime I come here, there's something new and pretty.
I love The Office too. I liked the BBC version first, but I've found that a lot of Americans don't like that version as much. Difference in humor. Whatev.
AND, I am so with you. I don't have cable, so I watch all my tv using netflix. I go through an entire series and then I'm off to the next one. I love it! Plus, I don't have to wait until next week for the next episode. I just press "play all" and let it keep on rolling. I love it!
Sorry this has nothing to do with the Office, but I saw your post on Trying Our Best and I, also, am afraid of getting stuck in clothes in the dressing room. Just thought I'd share.
I love that engagement picture of you and your guy where he is in uniform. The body language is just great.
