An update of sorts.

I drink alot of water. Alot. Therefore, I pee alot as well. Sometimes, this is quite an inconvenience. At least I know I am hydrated.

For my birthday (which isn't until the 26th), I got a new phone. I decided my old phone was giving me cancer (don't laugh) so I hit up the AT&T store just to check out the inventory. Initially I didn't want a slider because they seem to be quite the trend right now. I - like everyone else - am drawn to the touch screens, but I don't want to pay for the packages attached to them and I've heard of people having problems with them. I actually left the store without buying anything. The prices weren't obvious and I wanted to check the prices online. I had an inkling that the prices could be lower on the AT&T website. I was right. It would have cost me about $80 for the phone in-store and I snagged it for $50. So, I am now the proud owner of an LG Shine in black. The picture is of the silver version (obviously) which I just didnt care too much for. I actually didn't see the black version in real life until mine arrived. The stores all had silver and red. The phone was supposed to take 3-5 business days to get here. Mine took a whopping 24 hours. Yeah, that's right. The FedEx dude rang the doorbell about one whole day after I placed my order online. Apparently that 3-5 business days thing isn't really true when they are shipping it from Fort Worth. I still need to send in the rebate form, but I wanted to make sure I loved it before I sent in the paperwork. Before my SLVR I had an LG phone so I've found the transition pretty painless. The slider is nice and the keys are always locked so I can't make any accidental calls anymore. It also has a kickass camera that takes pictures like a real digital camera. You actually turn the camera on its side and press a button on its side which is the top of the phone/camera when taking pictures. That may not make sense - you'll just have to see it.

I didn't intend to write that much about a phone! Has my life really become that mundane?

Today, Mom, Keith and I went to Fuji's for lunch. I hadn't been there since Brian was home I'm pretty sure. That was 3 months ago. It didn't disappoint. Well, the establishment itself always disappoints, but the food was UH-mazing! I love going for lunch because it's only $7.50 and I don't have to deal with the salad I don't eat. It's a bit on the expensive side for dinner, but totally doable for lunch. We were at the table with 3 of the rudest patrons we've encountered in a long while. They complained the whole time and were rude to the chef (who happened to be one of the best ones they have). Why can't people just be nice? I mean is "please" and "thank you" too much to ask for? What has happened to manners??

It is August which means we are in the dog days of summer. It is always hotter in August than June or July. Just when you're getting tired of the 90 degree days, August rolls around and slams you with ten straight days of 105 degree scorching heat. Most of the time it's a dry heat (ha) so it's manageable, but the last few days it's been like 99 with 80% humidity. That's the kind of heat that knocks the air out of your lungs and makes your knees weak. That's the kind of heat that makes you circle the parking lot until you find a place to park within a reasonable radius to the door. I have to have 2 fans going at all times that I am in the room. I walk in from being out and the second stand fan hasn't been on and I can tell. It'll be nice when fall begins to arrive. I know I won't see summer again until I am living in Louisiana with my husband by my side. Now that's something to look forward to.

Keith turns 21 in six days. It seems like I just turned 21. I can't believe we can go out to dinner with each other and both order a drink with our meal. So crazy. What's even crazier is that I will be twenty-freaking-three in 19 days. Ugh!!! I don't like the sound of 23. Birthdays stop being a big deal after like 21 which really really sucks. Maybe I'll make an effort to never let birthdays pass by like any other day. There will always be cake and streamers and a crown! There must be a crown.

So, did I write enough yet?

I left you a very witting comment, and stupid blogger deleted it or lost it...it never posted. Boo blogger. And I am no longer in a witty writing mood, so this comment will have to suffice. I AM happy that you are enjoying your new phone! :)

And now I just realized that I wrote "witting" (which I don't even think is a word) instead of "witty".
