Introducing...

...Sergeant Ivy!

Brian finally got promoted this afternoon. It wasn't the easiest journey to this point, but he made it! After two promotion boards and two months of gathering as many promotion points as possible to make the cut-off, the stars finally aligned. We've known this was impending for a couple weeks, but I was not going to jinx it.

I am so incredibly proud of him. He worked extremely hard while he was deployed. He has tirelessly worked toward this promotion since he got home. It has only taken him a little over 26 months to become a Non-Commissioned Officer.

We have at least another couple years committed to the Army and I cannot wait to see how Brian's career unfolds. I'm convinced he's meant for great things.

We leave bright-n-early tomorrow to head home. I'm going home for good...well at least until the beginning of August. Brian is just off for the weekend. He has a fun-filled weekend planned with the boys that involves tubing down some river and hitting the river walk in San Antonio.

Blogs may be few and far between for awhile. Things will be busy back home with family and wedding plans. See you all on the flip side! :)
