Packing Day 1

I buckled today and starting packing. I started with this table because Mom needs it for Christmas decorating. It was a good jumping off point anyway because it was full of stuff I didn't really need. I mean, it was covered in things that have sentimental value, but none of it is necessary for daily life. All that's left on there now in my bouquet from the shotgun wedding, a yummy smelling candle, a clock and a couple lamps. The table was quite disgusting from my neglecting it over the months. Cleaning/packing the entire table only took me about an hour which gives me hope for my future packing days.

This is what cleaning off that table created. That box on the chair is essentially full, but that box on the floor only has two breakables in it. On the chair is a pile of books that I didn't want to pack with fragile stuff so that's why I paused where I did. Note the big box of bubble wrap on the back of the chair. Bubble wrap = my new best friend! I feel like all the breakable things that mean so much to me will make it safely to LA with their bubble cushion.

Mom's procedure is over. She survived as did I. It took much longer than either of us anticipated. We arrived there in the freezing cold at 8am sharp. We were home by 12:45pm. If you ever want to people watch, go to the hospital, I'm telling you! The people in the outpatient waiting room were a sight to behold.

That's about all I got accomplished today. Tomorrow I have a lunch date (hopefully), need to go to the bank to straighten out a debit card issue (don't get my started!), and take Tiny to the vet. Oh, I'm going to try to pack something too.
