I may be a good ole Texas gal, but I have some thick Yankee blood in my veins. I am forever loyal to New York state and city. Mom sent me this video awhile ago and I finally watched it tonight. I cried. It's easy to forget why my husband is in Iraq and why I have to take my shoes and belt off going through airport security. America's safety and security was horribly breached almost 7 years ago. Each year another batch of children are born that are post-9/11 babies. Every year separates us farther from that day, but we cannot forget. Life is precious and we are not invincible. I love NYC and I have strolled through the World Trade Center. I am thankful for that experience and I am thankful for my memories of 9/11 and earlier. I hope and pray that we as a nation never forget that day and everything it caused. September 11th should not have happened. Do not forget.
