A Year.

We are quickly approaching the one-year mark of Brian leaving for Boot Camp. He left Abilene on April 10th and his Army career began officially on April 11, 2007. I can look over the last year and make a list of the short burts of time Brian and I were able to spend together.

April: We didn't see each other after he left for Boot Camp.
May: We didn't see each other.
June: We saw each other at his graduation on (I believe) June 23rd.
July: I spent July 4th with him and a couple other weekends that I could afford to make the trip to Oklahoma.
August: Brian was home in Abilene from Aug. 6th-31st.
September: Brian came home for two 4-days; we were married on his second 4-day.
October: Brian and I spent 3 weeks together, 1 in Louisiana taking care of paperwork and 2 in Abilene when he had block leave.
November: I met Brian in Shreveport for a night and Mom and I went to LA for Thanksgiving week.
December: We didn't see each other.
January: We didn't see each other.
February: We didn't see each other.
March: We haven't seen each other and we won't see each other.

The vast majority of the past year of our relationship has played out over the phone, through letters, or through sheer faith in each other.

I can't believe it's already been a year (almost).

Thank you for my flowers. I can smell them from here. I appreciate your thoughtfulness. And thank you for emptying the dishwasher and for making bread yesterday. I really do appreciate the help. :)
