Blogging and I haven't been getting along lately, huh? I don't know what's up with the writer's block.
Our couches came today. They have made the living room instantly look home-ier. We have them in a pretty decent configuration, but it's far from being complete. I still need about 2397483 more surfaces for all my precious breakables that are still packed away and things desperately need to get up on the walls. I'm used to rooms with colors and this cream scheme we've got goin on isn't working for me.
See, I just got sidetracked looking at makeup on Sephora. Ugh! Focus, Sarah!
The neighbors are still there. We haven't made friends with them, but I haven't been smelling their smoke as bad either. I guess anybody moving in there would have been louder than the girl who was in there before. It seems these people are always coming and going and talking loudly in the backyard. I need to remember that it could always be worse. We went to a acquaintance's house last night (the men work together...) and were outside with a giant bonfire and guys yelling profanities past midnight. I don't mind the people, but I would HATE them if I had to live next to them. Made me ever so thankful for the neighbors I have...even if I smell their smoke in my living room sometimes.
Tomorrow Brian and I are planning on checking out Toledo Bend Reservoir a little bit North of town. I was planning on taking my family there when they visited, but wanted to scope it out before blindly taking them there. I've heard it's pretty so we'll see!
The wedding has been driving me up the wall lately. We've been trying to figure out if there's someway we can have a Catholic wedding and finally today we found a way we can do it. It means we'll be getting married on base at home which will be a large kink in the wedding day planning. Everyone who wants to come but isn't military will need to either stop for a pass or provide us with their social security number so we can give a list to the gate people. I can't wait to figure out that wording for the invitations! This also means that Brian and I will need to travel home to meet with the priest twice before the wedding. Brian wasn't planning on going back again until the wedding so this complicates things a bit. It also will put some extra miles on the truck. Oh well, right? I still need to figure out about this pre-wedding weekend class thing called pre-cana. It's a Catholic thing. I think we can do it here in Louisiana, but that means I need to get in touch with our chapel on post and find out some stuff. So far no luck calling the general number they have listed on their website so I don't know.
I also have my bridesmaids trying on dresses for me at David's Bridal and letting me know what they think. I am sorta thinking they're all going to come back with totally different opinions which won't help me at all! I hope not tho. I hope this is an easy decision.
I know this update sucked, but it's all I've got. Top Chef rerun is on and then CSI and then this dang Blockbuster rental I desperately need to watch already! I'm off...
